An Idea for season 13!

    So as we all know, Season 13 of Sea of Thieves introduces a new ship/world event: The Burning Blade

    But as some of you may know, I am a full time guardian of the Sea, and henceforth will not be crewing this ship. HOWEVER, I think there should be a new option in HG, replacing the “championship fight” that allows you to dive and invade the Burning Blade, which now always has it’s hourglass up! (Burning Blade cannot dive, only defend) Now why do this? Well…

    Currently, there is no incentive to dive and attack a bigger ship, just more risk
    And no extra reward. This new option (replacing the useless dive to bigger ship option) would change that, making players go against the burning blade for extra rewards and renown!

    Here are some off the top of my head!

    For guardians, there will be some new commendations centered around the goal of getting the “legendary Firebreaker” title for defeating the burning blade.

    For Servants there will be some new commendations centered around getting the “Reaper of legends”
    title for defending the burning blade.

    Now, can a Servant invade the burning blade…?

    Well, yes… but only if it is not being crewed by players. this function would NOT be an HG feature, but a “Dive to voyage” feature. If all of this came into fruition, the following would occur

    • The burning blade will always be contested!

    • The Guardians also have some new content!

    • Reapers can crew the blade whenever they want!

    These 3 things will increase the longevity of the world event’s popularity by a large percentage!

    @craftergames706 so you want the reward for winning 4 PvP fights to be something that’s PvE?…

    @Tesiccl For servants, you dive to it like a raid voyage at the beginning of your session. Is that what you are talking about?

    He's pointing out that diving to larger crew PvP battles are only available after reaching a win streak of 4 when representing a Faction. So after getting a win streak of 4, as an Athena Guardian, you're saying a crew will then have the option to dive to the Burning Blade world event?

    It's not a bad idea but it'll always need to be against a player occupied crew, not the PvE Burning Blade.

    @Rare-Jumbie exactly, but if you are a reaper you Can’t dive to the burning blade if it’s currently being crewed by a player crew, but can dive to it to as a raid voyage to take it over. this means that the burning blade will almost always be crewed/contested, as well as a new “voyage” for reapers! if you are a guardian, you will dive to a player operated burning blade, and go in a HG battle against it.
