Discoverable cosmetics.

  • From clothing sets, weapons and equipment, it would be nice to be able to find stashes tucked away or lost in the deep that can be added to our inventories.

Make these cosmetics very hard to find, there are plenty of places to hide things on land and under the sea.

This gives players a good reason to adventure into places they would have not gone before.

They can be contained in chests, and these chests are in unique locations per server, this eliminates YouTube tutorials on how to find a specific cosmetic set, the contents of the chests can be random, meaning if there is a chest on mermaids hideaway on two separate servers these chests may not contain the same set.

I think this gives a good opportunity to allow very rare sets as well, like the shrouded ghost rarity.

Lately the emporium has been getting all the new cosmetics which is unfortunate, we really need some new things to work towards.

  • Something like this already exists at seadogs rest, you can get the fallen sea dog lantern there, and a lot of people dont even know its there still at this point. As i see it, commendation items often fit a similar role, so more hidden items arnt needed, it would be fine if they added some, but the essence of this idea is already a thing.

If they did do this i dont really see a need to make them server exclusive or harder to find since if they become too hard to find, not a single person will take the time to search for them. It will become just the same as the box of wonderous secrets, something that is hidden out of view that most everyone will pass right by without realizing its there because its too uncommon to really take the time to actively look for it.

The big difference between these "shrouded ghost rarity" items and the pale meg its self is that at least with the meg, if you get it, the thing announces its self to you and you cant exactly miss it, but these items, if they are even half as rare as the shrouded ghost, since you have no way of knowing if they are at the nearest hidden spot other than going out of your way to check, most of them will go unckeched.
