I BEG YOU TO MAKE A NORMAL MODE FOR A QUIET GAME IN PVE. I'M PLAYING ALONE AND I JUST WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME SAILING THE SEA, OPENING TREASURE TROVES, DOING EVENTS AND SO ON. I AM TIRED OF BEING ATTACKED BY AGGRESSIVE PLAYERS WHO NULLIFY WHOLE HOURS OF MY LIFE AND GAME
I know that you have made a "safe sea", but it includes pathetic bits of content. I'm not interested in PVP at all, because there's not much you can do alone against other players, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE ATTACKED BY A GALLEON with four morons. Please make it a normal opportunity to play this game calmly. I really like her, but I have to just stop when I'm attacked, and close the game in complete devastation and disappointment
Please create solo or PVE mode.
@yammete-kudasai if you’re not interested in PvP at all, then you’ve bought the wrong game. Safer Seas is there to help those who need it, but without the risk, why should your reward be the same?
Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous Rare puts solo players on servers with full crews and not other solo players.
When the game asks you to select a ship type there should be four options solo sloop, duo sloop, brigantine and galleon.
If you choose solo sloop you can’t invite anyone to your crew or use open crew. It’s just you against other solos in the sandbox.
If you choose duo sloop you can be solo and go against full crews if you like the additional challenge and you can invite a friend or open your crew at anytime.
Safer seas was a great addition for those who hate PvP but it comes with some serious drawbacks not only in progression but also choice of activity.
Solo players shouldn’t be forced into a PvP sandbox with full crews with no other options that just creates more players who hate PvP and always do everything they can to avoid it.
To Rare’s credit they’ve done a lot to help smaller crews but I’m sorry nothing will make solo vs full crew a fair fight. If you are solo and you are fighting a full crew who knows what they are doing you have basically no chance at sinking them.
If Rare would just put solos who choose solo sloop on servers together solo players could fully enjoy the PvEvP sandbox.
For now my advice is to avoid playing solo unless you enjoy grinding out PvE, always avoid interactions with other crews and sell often or be okay with being sunk and losing treasure/supplies more often than not when battling other crews.
Generally the people who claim solo PvP is viable are pirate hunters exclusively, they do zero PvE so they have nothing to lose and simply just attack the juiciest target they see. Others who claim solo PvP is viable will either invite a friend or open their crew when they face a crew they don’t think they can beat solo.
I understand why Rare wants all three ship types to be on servers together and I agree as long as all three ship types have full crews.
Solo players however should be on servers with other solo players for the best PvP experience.

You mean loot right? Oh well less risk less loot, it's only normal.

The game design and intent for Sea of Thieves is a shared world adventure, and it always will be. Those who wish to play in the confines of Safer Seas will always have the option but we will not bring the rewards and activities in line with those of High Seas when many of the restrictions are in place due to the risk vs reward factor that is inherent in Sea of Thieves - removing any risk means rewards must be balanced accordingly.
Safer Seas will act not only as a safe space for our Tall Tale players but also for families with children who just want to pirate, for people who want to play the game but learn the ropes and it will organically feed into Adventure mode, keeping the player pool there healthy and upskilled as they've learned the mechanics.
This is not only useful for new players but families, players with accessibility needs - the whole game suddenly become available in a way it hasn't before, letting them naturally progress to High Seas and being a Pirate Legend. SoT has grown a huge amount in 5 years and it can be fairly overwhelming.
The borders put in Safer Seas mean that to experience the full depth and breadth of the game you will have to hit the high seas BUT if you're playing with your family you don't have to, you can just enjoy the game and have fun as a family.
Dropping anchor.
