Players should teleport out faster after a defeat on hourglass.

  • There has been several times that I have I have been in very close battles and I’ll sink the other ship while my ship is seconds from sinking, I then have to keep my ship from sinking while guarding my ship until the player teleports out. If they manage to kill you, you sink although you’ve already won the battle.

    As soon as their ship makes the sinking sound they should be unable to move or instantly teleported out. Currently they have about a 30 second window to kill you and have you sink also which is far too much time in very close battles.

  • That time is really the only thing that is interesting about hourglass.

    I've always thought it was silly that people get fired up about players still fighting after their boat sinks, that happens in random adventure all the time and it's fun.

    I have to keep that in mind all the time in random adventure. I might sink a brig or a galleon but if I don't put a bunch of space in between I will get boarded and they might sink me after they sink.

    The merging out after a bit thing is good. I think it's good for the content but that little window of time for exciting endings is very necessary imo.

    Hourglass already struggles to have interesting moments, that would be removing a lot of the opportunity for them.

    I've never liked that people think others are obligated to stop fighting over a sink, that's never been SoT.

    Hourglass is to pvp, to fight, people that try to sink boats after they sink are doing exactly what the content is about.

  • Or maybe the victor needs to teleport out after they win. :) throw them back into the waiting lobby

    Until the barrels from the sunk ship appears. Your fight isn’t over. Idk why people even outside hourglass assume they won a fight when the ship “begins” to sink

  • I like to play the Monkey Island theme to whoever beat me, they deserve it!

  • Nope, that’s the window I use to tell them GG, help them bucket if they’re too full and then shanty with them till they one blunder me :D
