Holes out of nowhere

    M'y friend and i were on a sloop when we decided to go for the siren's bank. After we finished the fight and swam back to the surface, we started collecting loot on the ship with ABSOLUTELY no one around nor any monster.

    I was catching loot with the grapple and all of a sudden, we heard the noise of like 15 holes getting made in our ship within seconds, and the ship sank. It was like someone shot us with a machine gun canon and the ship sank instantly...

    At first my theory was that a pouder barel poped under our ship while we were looting but shouldn't we have heard any explosion if it was the case ?

    Can anybody explain to me what happened here ?

    Sounds like someone scuttled the sloop: a crew can choose (in the menu) to sink their ship (would need both you and your friend vote if it was your ship).

    Perhaps another crew moved your sloop away and placed their sloop above the sunken kindom place, waiting for you to free the loot from the mermaid; they then could pick up the loot later.

    Why did you swim to the surface ? The mermaid statue where you placed the items has also an option to transport you to your ship instantly.

    @lem0n-curry didn't know for the statue but we didn't vote to sink our ship ^^

    Definitely sounds like a scuttle vote. Maby you voted it earlier in the session without realizing, and after returning your friend did? Im not sure what else would cause it.
