so me and a friend are brand new to this game and playing on safe seas, i know not the best for grinding or anything but we don't want to be targeted on high seas, anyway were doing a riddle and were stuck because were not exactly big brained, so a little help would be great, the riddle is this coins of plenty lie buried deep, on cannon cove they're yours to keep at the forbidden tomes light rarely blooms, dig 8 paces south-by-southeast treasure nearby looms, any help would be much appreciated

As to answer the riddle, off the top of my head I'm not certain. When holding your compass hold down the trigger button to bring the compass close to your face so you can more accurately count your steps when you get to the last step. Bookmark it, my friend. Fastest way to learn landmarks on the islands! There are only a certain number of riddles per large island, so after you've done riddle maps over and over for a bit you'll start to see the same ones and remember where they are.
Hated them when I first started and always preferred 'X' dig maps, but over time I got to the point where they're my favorites because I can speed through them.
For instance, this map on Cannon Cove (which I'm sure you've dug up by now) is leading you to the books stacked on a rock in the cave beneath the peak; entrance is next to the campfire in roughly the center of the island.
