Curses, Curses and more Curses

  • With Season 12 we got introduced two more (though very similar) curses, partially and fully stone curse. Honestly i find them a great addition to the other curses and fit their place.

    But how about more? more never hurts.

    Introducing the Distinction Curses.

    Last season we got distinctions so we can grind to our hearts content. and every distinction we get a new ring (that we cant see when wearing gloves, what a great choice).
    What about getting one at distinction 5 level 100 per faction?. This would motivate the grinding a bit more instead for rings you wont see. (RARE just move the rings to the gloves category if we cant see them at the same time, same goes for the briggsy mask which doesnt work with eyepatches)

    Gold Hoarder Curse:
    The issue with the gold hoarders is that they technically already have the shores of gold curse. We could simply do a different gold pattern though. making the pirate fully gold would invalidate the shores of gold curse. Or we make the body partially covered in colorful gems and jewelry that are imbedded in the skin.

    Order of Souls Curse:
    a common theme for the order of souls is voodoo. so just make the body look like a giant voodoo doll, similar to the arm of the costume you get at level 100. maybe only partially as well.

    Merchant Alliance Curse:
    now this faction, man. whats even their unique characteristic? being bri'ish? no clue what curse they should give you at distinction 5. just cover them in tea or something.

    Athena Curse:
    now those guys already have 3 curses. pirate legend curse. ghost curse and golden ghost curse. but by the damned, lets give 'em another one. How about we take the glowing of the eyes of the pirate legend curse and sprinkle it over the body so you have a few spots that glow?

    Reapers Bones Curse:
    quite simply a partially bones curse. maybe the arm and leg without a pegleg/hook and a bit of the torso or maybe the head.

    and for the grand finale

    Hunters Call Curse: (please please please please please)
    after grinding for a gazillion years and finally achieving level 50 and all commendations for the Hunters Call, players should be rewarded for it properly. a fish curse. give the player gills and fish scales covering the body and maybe even webbing between the fingers. please RARE i need this.

  • I like curses in the game, but I am a little concerned about making them TOO prevalent. OOS effectively has a curse you get in Tall Tale 2. Reapers has skelly and arguably the Ashen curse is Reaper’ish.

  • Ahoy matey. I agree, it never hurts to have more Curses. However, we already have most of the Curses ye have mentioned.

    • Gold Hoarders Curse/Golden Curse is from Shores of Gold, the last Tall Tale of Shroudbreaker Tall Tales.
    • Order of Souls Curse is from Cursed Rouge Tall Tale, second Tall Tale of Shroudbreaker Tall Tales.
    • Athena Curse/Curse of Pirate Legends/Legendary Curse is from Hourglass, which has III Variations.
    • Reapers Bones Curse/Skeleton Curse is from Hourglass too & ye can customize it.

    This Curses are Great and has an important role. Since they are not only a great rewards to get for completing Different & Difficult task, but also very connected to the Lore of the game.

    The Other Curses ye have mentioned, such as Merchant Alliance & Hunters Call Curse, are not connected to the Lore and won't be a great rewards, since ye basically would get 'em for what ye always do (voyages, fishing or stealing loot).

    However, instead of focusing on mistakes or shortcomings, I propose to open the horizon. There is alot of curses waiting to be discovered, such as:

    • Ocean Crawlers Curse (III Variations of it),
    • LeChucks Crew Curse,
    • Sirens Curse,
    • Splashtail Monarch/Monarch Curse,
    • Merfolk Curse,
    • etc.

    And all of them has a Great Lore Potential & Rewards for completing Different & Difficult activities.
