Games crashing on PS5

Same issue, impossible to play, fix this pls

EVERY DAY / EVERY HOUR GAME IS CRASHING ON PS5, IT'S UNPLAYABLE.

40€, RARE PLEASE CONSIDER THIS PROBLEM.

Initially downloaded the game and got to play for a few hours. Now, try high seas….. crash. Try safer seas…..crash. To top it all off you have yet to address the situation as a whole with an entire community of gamers. Games have issues we understand that but it’s been too long. At the very least we should be given some sort of expected date or even the simple recognition that your game is broken on PlayStation.

Same problem. Every time I play with friends they have no issue and never have on Xbox and PC. Its happened to my friends with Xbox too. Very frustrating.

Every time I play solo it does fine, but when I play with my friend who plays on Xbox it’ll crash. Some crashes are just freezes and if I wait a little bit it’ll work again, but some are major crashes where I have to turn off my ps5 completely and reload the game that way to make it work.
Plz fix

I’m a ps5 player and the game crashed like 10 times within 2 hours yesterday when I was playing with friends. I never have crashing issues when I solo but when I play around other people. It crashes all the time. For context, it was me and a random on a sloop alliances with another sloop and brig and we were all doing fort of the damed. I was the only person crashing and only person with a ps5. When we got a 4 person crew on ps5, all of us kept crashing . PLEASE FIX THIS! It’s making the game unplayable

I took a break from the game thinking they would eventually fix this. Played last night and it crashed 2 times. So lame. Guess I better reclaim my Xbox series S from my kids so I can play this game without it always crashing on PS5.

Im on Ps5 what is going on the game crashes and keeps saying network problem or something like that. All of my other games run just fine on my network. When is this going to get fixed. It’s causing my ship to sink and i keep losing all my loot ive gathered and treasures. It also seems to happen right when i get into a battle. Please fix this is very frustrating. I love the game but how do they expect us to play when we cant…..

i have the exact same problem, already put out 2 tickets, no reaction from rare.
its a shame how they treat us, instead of fixing this problem they add ship skins to the emporium. 3 of my friends already refunded the game. guess they wont do anything guys. it will stay like this probably. such a shame, this game had so mich potential.

Honestly I want the hundreds of dollars spent on this game or fix it RIGHT NOW! Got the game to play with my son and its not even a playable game atm ..very fun to play when it's playable but this isn't on a month with no reply or solution is not what the player base wants easy way to watch a game drop just like hell divers 2

Every time I play with my friends that are on Xbox and/or PC my game freezes and I would have to restart the application to join them again which is very annoying.

I think I might have found a cause for it, ive been having no issues at all on PS5 playing with friends on PC right up until we put up an emissary flag then the game crashes every 30 seconds, whether im playing with friends or solo slooping.

TL/DR; I think the issue is something to do with the emissary flag

It is beyond ridiculous at times.. it's not all the time but when it happens it is nuts!! I have 100% notice that when it happens . It's when other player ships are close. Hope it gets sorted out. Awesome game!!

On on PS5

Having a similar issue that makes me freeze/crash randomly for no reason (this could be my wifi). For example, yesterday I cleared a fort and was turning my boat around to pick up my treasure and my game froze and stuck like it until 4 mins later where I just turned it off. Any tips/ ideas?

J’ai le même problème le jeu freeze environ 10 fois en une heure c’est horrible et super dommage car le jeux en lui même est au top
Je me rappel a sa sortis pc il y avais eu des bug similaire et il suffisait de désactiver les différente bannière de succès et animation de zone ect ça réduisez un peut l’effet de bug mais problème ces option ne sont pas sur console j’ai essayer de réduire au max tout ce qui peut demander des ressource gameplay graphisme mais ça a l’air de trop rien changer, donc a part attendre une maj il faut serrer les dents ….
Mes amies sont sur Xbox et aucun problème
S’il vous plais faite un patch c’est vraiment frustrant j’ai envie de jouer et je peut pas

Is there any update on this issue? I’ve been having this exact same problem, random disconnections if I try to play with anyone on PC. Am requesting a refund from Playstation because it seems like this issue is being ignored but would probably buy the game again if this was fixed.

Refund the game like I did. Problem solved. Everyone should refuse to play a game where Devs don’t respond/acknowledge the problem or try to fix it.

Agreed, Ive been playing for almost two months and for the past week it has become impossible to play. I am getting very discouraged to play the game. Please fix it.

Gave this game a second chance today and regretted it.

First 30-40 minutes it's okay, just a few non-fatal freezes, and then it starts to freeze terminately. You just play 3 minutes and then re-login for 10 minutes. After 10 or 15 logins game kicks you out of your microsoft account. So you spending time to re-login in microsoft to see that some guys already destroyed your ship.

Now SoT doesn't give anything except rage.

Same here it’s been nearly a couple months since the games launch and I’m still experiencing game crashes and game freezing consistently and it’s extremely annoying considering I can’t keep loot on my shop otherwise

Gave the game another chance, now deleting it for good…40€ for a game that constant crashes nothing has been fixed but hey sot just cares abt pirate emporium…such a shame rare u guys are worse than the call of duty companies

It’s absolutely ridiculous that they still havent fixed this garbage but they have time to add cosmetics and community weekend. Theres no point in adding that if all your new players leave because your game is broken. Do your job Rare

Since I bought the game I haven't had any problems, until yesterday when more friends joined but from PC and Xbox.

I started having a stutter which continues until an eventual permanent freeze that I can only get rid of by force quitting the game on my PS5 and rejoin my session.

This only happens to me playing with crossplay (xbox and pc). Playing with another player on the same platform (PS5) works well.

Just lost 3 ship battle back to back all because of game freezes. In a game where every second counts in a battle it’s hard to do anything when your game is glitching and constantly freezing non stop. Yes i can close the game out and jump back in. But by time i do all that my ship has been boarded, anchored and 15 holes in it and i cant do anything about it. PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES.

I played on xbox game pass for a while with no problem then suddenly started getting constant crashes with no way to fix. I just purchased it on ps5 and now dealing with freezing/crashes! Im so mad because this game is truly my favorite but I cant seem to get to play it! PLEASE PLEASE FIX IT
