I think it would be really helpful if you could customize the radial menus and put different commands/ controls at the different points. For example if you could add "Text Chat", "Pirate Chat" and "Pirate Wheel of Emotions" as items on the radial menus, (rather than the array of instruments that are unlikely to be needed urgently) this would free up three extra buttons that you could use for item shortcuts or other commands/ actions.
Alternatively, maybe there could be a button to open a "command menu" that lists all the possible commands. Then you can choose a command which just gets carried out once, instantly, rather than going into settings, then controller, then binding the command to a button, then using it once, then going back into settings, controller, and rebinding the old command to the button that you've just overwritten.
I also think it could be useful to be able to preset your own short phrases in the "Pirate Chat" radial if there are things you find yourself saying regularly (e.g. "We're friendly", "Check the map" etc.), as text chatting using an xbox controller and an on screen keyboard is a slow process and the "speech to text" function is far from perfect.
If there are already ways to do these things or any obvious solutions that I just haven't figured out yet please tell me.
