Good evening everyone!
With the release of the game on Ps5 and the new season my group of friends want to sail the seas again.
But my question is the following, can I play from PS5 with my existing Microsoft account or do I have to create a new one and start from 0?
If someone can confirm this it would be a great help.

While we don't have an official announcement on it, one of the developers on Twitter confirmed cross play and cross progression is part of the PS5 release.
@lvsan there’s no official FAQ yet but it’s been answered that you won’t have to create a new account and you can pick up your progress where you left off. Cross progression and play are available so you can jump between at your leisure. It also means you get the pre order goodies on your existing account. Happy sailing!
@lvsan We have seen this kind of cross progression as indicated before even on Minecraft, where you had to link your Microsoft account with your PS account in order to proceed. I think the process will be the same with SOT as well.
