feedback after 3k hrs & 2k lvl

  • There are too many errors in the game. Servers stop working almost every week, servers lag, broken harpoons, hit reg, broken anchors, broken enemy ship with invisible cannons, cheaters, bad network code, lack of support for stable game state. Today's broken servers were the last straw. This cannot be tolerated. Maybe I'll come back to this once cool game someday, but right now it's unplayable.
P.S. Why is it that any programmer in your company can get into any part of the game and break that for a few years?

  • Hmmm. Can’t tell if upset or there first time a video game was “unplayable for them

Meanwhile, I’m still playing with no issues. So I like to know why my friends can still play all week but i keep seeing its crashing for everyone else, and they are throwing a fit.

    :(

  • @burnbacon yeah I haven't had a single issue with the game since season 11 dropped.

  • The game keeps getting worse and worse in terms of performance but the people on this forum will tell you that the game works fine. At this point they are either completely oblivious or straight up lying. Not that it really matters anyways since those are the people Rare listens for feedback and anyone who claims that the game is problematic nowadays is considered a toxic vet...

Nobody that constructively criticizes things that happen in SoT is considered toxic.

Outcome struggling doesn't mean that they aren't aware or that they are ignoring it.

There are 2 main types of feedback where people are satisfied. Dismissive satisfied when they are happy but turn that into dismissing what others are going through, then there is just sharing their experience as a satisfied participant.

People get to share their genuine feedback, even when it's at a time where others are frustrated.

Fair to say you aren't satisfied, not really fair to say that they aren't trying or that they don't take it seriously.

  • @wolfmanbush
i do agree with the first part of your comment, however there comes a point when taking something seriously and trying isn't enough. The game has had many performance issues over the years with most of them either still being unfixed or when they do get fixed something else becomes equally broken. This isn't something subjective but a fact. It's almost guaranteed that people are gonna stop giving valid critism and everything is gonna turn into a rant. When you buy a game and try to play it, you at least expect it to work...

  • If only I could record my 6+hour game session and show that not everyone is suffering the "Bugs" as many forum people claim. 80% of the playerbase dont even visit the forums and even if a game fails to run. Its not the end of the world, nor do they go to the public forums to complain like its ground breaking.

Send a Support Ticket, and let your voice be heard. OH! and make sure to look out for a Thread by Mod stating "They are aware and looking into the crashes" It saves time.

  • I'm jealous of the people who say they haven't experienced any issues. I truly am.

Constant crashes and hazelnuts. The shipwright didn't give me all my supplies and the merchant wouldn't give me my crates. Hit rig is still a problem even though they've been working on it for 5 years.

I'd prefer it if these devs just told us that they don't know how to fix it. I know they care but every single update brings out new bugs and glitches that make this game worse than it already is. I want it to get better, but it probably won't.
