The Skull of Sirens Song is a competitive voyage. The point is that it is contested by other ships and the Skull leaves you vulnerable to attack. The Factions of Servants of The Flame and Guardians of Fortune are about fighting other crews for the Sea of Thieves (and gold/glory).
I suggest letting the crew that turned in the skull gain reputation with those factions. It’ll make crews that may not be sailing for a guild still want to fight over the Skull. Plus it’ll give an extra way for new pirates to advance towards the elusive Curses without losing the PvP aspect of those factions.
Also, thank you for letting it count towards Guild Reputation.
