So I love to be a merchant. Sailing from outpowst to outpost collecting all of the commodities from each and stopping at each island in between to find additional loot. However, I keep running into this problem where when I tried to buy commodities in bulk I get stuck on the "Please wait counting your coins" screen.
The only fix is to kill the game and rejoin the session. During which...anything could happen.
Is there any way to fix this? Please?
The issue I'm having is where it allows me to buy commodities, but then why I try to retrieve them from the merchant I just... can't. It doesn't give me a crate and the prompt just stays there. Last night the work-around was for me to log out and back in, but that's not an option for solo sloopers. My friend likes to buy one, pull it out. Buy one, pull it out. That may work for solos?

They aren't ideal, but solos do have a couple of work-arounds they can try. Usually a trip to the ferry can resolve the situation. Just drown or take your hp to 0 with blunderbombs, and when you respawn try retrieving from the merchant again.
If that doesn't work, you can "crash" out of your game and rejoin the session. For PC I believe you can just AltF4, on console you'd need to turn off your system without quitting out of the game session. When you log back in, the game should ask if you want to rejoin your previous session.....tell it yes.
The vast majority of the time, these two methods work for me. On the occasion that they don't I curse my luck and carry on lol
@ghutar as solo player couldn't get a snake in a basket from the outpost they spawn at and this is most likely the one place players will use the merchant and shipwright stores
