Pirate legends should be able to set a “home port” so they can spawn in the preferred area relative to whatever content they want to be doing or current status in game. For example if ypu have the ashen curse and meet the PL requirements why not be allowed to spawn in at Morrows Prak? Or alternatively for the fishing legends perhaps port merrick. You see what im getting at anyway?
Spawn Choices
@iminvisible4383 I like to think of the random spawns as your pirate going on a grog fueled adventure after you get off and when hop back on they coming too not knowing what they did and how they got to where there at.....side note yea PLs should spawn at Morrowspeak too make it once you hit PL and if you start the ship it's part of the spawn points that would be cool
@tesiccl if i could throw a nuke on port merrick i could;
- Poorly optimised, my frames always drop
- All resource barrels are spread out annoyingly, even if you want to go around it with a storage crate it takes ages
The upgrade that golden sands got actually made it that dagger tooth was no longer the worst outpost
@callmebackdraft it’s size? Frustrating. But is it pretty to look at and a great place for role play/sot shot stuff? Absolutely!
@callmebackdraft I like Port Merrick for cosmetic reasons and iv never had frame problems there but I agree from a recourse gathering stance point it sucks but honesty just hit a Sea fort you'll get a pile of cannon balls food and a good amount of wood
@iminvisible4383 If you want to just start at an outpost, remember that you can tall tale hop to the start of many.
Sanctuary - Wild Rose
Golden Sands - none
Plunder - Cursed Rogue
Ancient Spire - Legendary Storyteller
Galleons Grave - none
Dagger Tooth - Revenge of the Morningstar
Morrows Peak - Shores of Gold/Heart of FireOthers
North Star Seapost - Stars of a Thief
Plunder Valley - Art of the Trickster
Shipwreck Bay - Seabound SoulJust use those to hop to where you want to start

Yup, they essentially created fast travel in this game if you know how to strategically dive and don’t have anything on board you can’t dive with. I dive to Stars of a Thief if I need to visit the reaper hideout for a promotion or cosmetic purchase.
You can also use merchant cargo deliveries or voyages to get to other locations. If you vote to dive to a voyage while parked and read the quest, it will tell you where you’re going. So if you wanted to get to devil’s ridge you just vote for a cargo mission and keep revoting until it says the pickup is the person on devils ridge. You can dive to an animal voyage at lots and lots of islands, or just vote for an X marks the spot, riddle, etc… anything that gives you a quest parchment you can read and not a wayfinder or similar.
You can use ashen cargo, shores of gold, or heart of fire to arrive at Morrow’s Peak directly. I’ve been making quite a lot of use of this new mechanic.
Thanks for the info seriously appreciate the time put into a clear and informative response!
@iminvisible4383 you know diving is a thing now, if you want to go to the DR just choose a DR voyage and dive there
