I dont know why all of a sudden this is happening to me during community weekend and i see others using their captained ships today so it cant be a server side issue. Then when i can load my captained sloop and get in-game it has no cosmetics and i cant buy captain supplies or anything.

@wolfmanbush Took me like 3 tries but yes this somehow worked i even went into monkey island safer seas just to try it. Im on PC by the way.
Why does this even happen to a client side user?
This is still happening to me no matter what I do. Here is a list of things I have tried.
- Loading a regular ship, leaving, then trying to load guilds and I can't.
- Reinstalling the game two different times
- launching in DX11 using the -dx11 command in Steam
- Logging in and out of my MS account.
Issues I'm facing
- Can't load Guilds
- Can't load/purchase Captained Ships. Captained ships will show but I can't load into them into a game. It ends up being a normal sloop.
Any ideas?

Same exact issues here, I've followed all the same suggestions other people have said but even if we do get in the game, the ship is just like a chartered ship; not the one I bought. Apparently this has been going on for ages and still no fix yet? I feel like I just wasted my time and it's very frustrating, especially since I thought it was my connection; when in fact it isn't.
Just to recap a little:
- My owned ships only let me access them after doing the above steps mentioned in this thread, and even then it's not always 100%. THEN, if I DO get in a server, the ship ends up being a normal ship, not the one I purchased.
- Upon opening the game, guilds and purchase/owned ships can not be loaded/accessed.
- Restarting the game gives the same results as going into high/safer sea's then back to the main menu, except it takes longer.
- Some have reported going to the Maiden Voyage (Tutorial) lobby screen then back to the "Choose your experience" screen may work, but I've yet to replicate it.
Other issue's of note (that seem related):
- (In-game/High seas/Safer seas) Ship Log / Guild Log / Pirate Log / etc seem to have issues loading, just as the Guild screen & ship screen do; not loading entirely. (Pirate Log seems to be more stable.)
Hope this information helps at all in some way.
In this screenshot, I was testing the maiden voyage trick and it made the guild screen work, funnily enough.
