Xbox FPS counter

  • Is it possible to see our FPS on Xbox? On PC, it's clearly possible, I'm sure. But after some searching, I haven't found anything. Maybe I need to purchase some external device to display it, I don't know. I'd like to know if you have any idea of how to do it and if it's possible.

    Thank you !

  • Follow up question.
Why do you need it? What benefits does it give.

  • You cannot see FPS on xbox.

A 3rd party device may be detected as a cheat, causing you sorrow...

This allows you to know if you are below 60 fps. It's good to determine if your game is not lagging and if there is a lot of lag in the server.

Additionally, maintaining a high frame rate is crucial for smooth gameplay and responsiveness, especially in competitive online environments.

  • No we don't get ping or frames, it does help so you know when server is struggling and adapt your playstyle accordingly I.e less reliance on snipes etc

  • There is nothing for it, no.

If you need an indicator if the server has higher ping than you expect, wake up in the tavern and go into the first barrel near you and click the items to collect them. If they go in slower than usual to your inventory, then back out and find a new server, cause it’ll be a dodgy one for ping.
This is how I’ve always tested it out. See if it works for you.

  • I play on PC but I will continue to be in favour of parity across all versions of the game.

FPS doesn't really serve a purpose on console, there's not a lot you can do to influence it. But, certainly, the Ping readout is something they should add on console. It helps a lot with knowing if issues are your side or server side.

  • FPS falls under "Things I cannot change".

For ping in general, not real time, you can always open the browser and run speedtest dot net. It won't tell you about SoT but it will give you a good idea of your own internet.

For fun run it before and after you disconnect all those other phones and streaming TVs 🤣

Tell them the internet is down 👍

  • Personally I care less about FPS than I do Ping but I wouldn’t mind being able to toggle both on or off on console like you can on PC.
