Has anyone heard these rumours?, I used to sail the seas on Xbox. Till I had to sell it when I was low on gold. Now I've bought a ps5 I really hope the rumours are true and I can sail the seas on playstation with you all again soon🙏

Where did you see it confirmed then? Phil Spencer only said 4 titles would come to PS5, he didn't say what titles though.

isn't it like the 4th cycle of "inside info confirmed" and still nothing confirmed about sot as of the very recent xbox thing they just did?
Not that I doubt it being possible, just a lot of "confirmed" has being going around since this started without it being confirmed lol

If and when SoT comes to PS5
They are gonna have to ditch Xbox one and separate updates and fixes. Which is just another hassle they are gonna have to make separate teams (if not already)Good news? More players, Mass update to expand on the world.
Bad news? Possible more bugs and server issues, more cheaters for both pc and consoles.I be happy if they add “Xbox lobbies, pc lobbies and ps lobbies” but that is a stretch. :p
But again. The 4 titles havnt been confirmed or revealed. “Yet”

Not Starfield or Indiana Jones
Games that are over a year old. Two community driven games, new games that are first iterations of a title that have reached their potential on Xbox and PC.Sea of Thieves would fit that criteria but noting announced as yet. So rumours at the moment.
If it does happen Rare would probably want to do a big reveal to announce it
If it happens I hope there is cross play support and a PS5 equivalent version of the Duke set
What we actually currently know as "confirmed":
- 4 Xbox games will be coming to other console platforms
- Those games are all over a year old and also on PC currently
- Sea of Thieves is moving to a GDK build with February's update
So signs certainly point to Sea of Thieves being one of the games. But Phil Spencer and the team at Xbox have not confirmed it, instead they are leaving it to the developers to make those announcements.
If Switch is a target platform, that could be during the next Nintendo Direct, which is expected sometime very soon (they usually only give 24 hours notice).
If I were a betting man though, I'd put money on an announcement for Sea of Thieves within the next week and possibly with a view to releasing around the 6th Anniversary on March 20th.
I know for now it’s just rumours, but i would love this so much. PS5 has become my ‘main’ base of play if you like, I was here as a Founder and have loved this game wholeheartedly. Of the friends i have spoken to, we are all pretty unanimous that we will be buying this day one (and some are previous XB players). I just have one dream for this if it happens, Cross Progression.
I know nothing of the grand scheme, but let’s hope it works like Minecraft. Sign in with a MS account and enable crossplay, but also purchases and content. I can happily play with the Skyrim content i bought on 360 on my PS5 (PS4 version). I sincerely hope it works this way, if it’s true at all.

More players and people getting to play games with their friends is very significant but what it would also bring is significant fresh passion for piracy through content creation.
A game with staying power as strong as this game comes within obstacles. Players getting burnt out and content creators getting burnt out, really puts strain on morale of the community when the people doing all the talking are often the people doing all the criticizing.
It would be an entirely fresh group of adventurers that will be as many of us were years ago.
One major difference, the adventure experience in this game is 1000x stronger and more enjoyable for casual play than it was before.
Numbers are good for business but I'm focused on experience and morale and they will have a lot of fun as new players and the overall morale will increase as people remember what it is like to focus on the fun of inexperience, rather than the unpleasantries of complacency and habit.

Sea of Thieves is coming to PS5 on April 30th
While there are some expected negative voices, it's great to see the overwhelming majority of very excited pirates across all platforms on socials celebrating the announcement.
This is a great move for the game and one that will ensure it continues to thrive for many more years.

I am hopeful that this isn’t like Minecraft. If anyone here is like me you used an old account to link ps4 for the game and no longer have access to it or moved to an account that is modern and now can’t link that account to PSN because of the policy in place. If there isn’t an independent login I will lose my progress from Xbox Sea of Thieves and have to buy cosmetics and ships again.
