100+ hours of Safer Seas and no Kraken. We've tried both clearing the World Event and immediately sailing into open waters, and just waiting in open waters until the World Event times out. Has anyone actually encountered a Kraken in Safer Seas?

And you're right. There would be a lot of Kraken spawns, which tbh. Is fine, personally. Its quite easy to avoid a Kraken (Park on a island till' a new world event pops), so I don't personally see it being an issue. Prolly gonna get Kraken'd Once or twice per session. That is, IF its working as intended.

If that's the case then the mechanics must have changed. It probably still spawns after World Events, player-completed or rotating, just at a limited rate.

They might have decreased the times a Kraken could spawn, as otherwise on Safer Seas you would get it a lot more than on Higher Seas. It probably needs some fine tuning to get it right though.
@lem0n-curry Here's hoping, Played for a good few hours over several sessions, not seen a single one. Have you seen one on Safer Seas?
Past 4-5 days on HS i've fought one Kraken and saw another.
Meanwhile all the time i've played Safer with my gf, just running Tall Tales or just spending hours doing whatever we see coming up in terms of world events or commendations, not one Kraken spawn.
I'm TWO Kraken fights away from Legendary commendation and there's no spawns on Safer. And that pales in comparison with trying to get Kraken meat for the Hunters. We're just supposed to RNG them from floating barrels and shipwrecks? Any dev word onto their spawns at all?
