Is the Kraken disabled on Safer Seas?

    I read the FAQ and it says the Kraken would spawn normally on Safer Seas as it does on High Seas. Yet, after several hours and dozens upon dozens of world event intermissions, a Kraken has not spawned ONCE. I know they disabled the merchant voyages due to a bug, was the Kraken also disabled? I find it absolutely absurd to go so many hours in a solo session and not get Kraken'd once. If it is enabled and it's just up to chance, I can't even begin to understand why it'd be that rare to get considering how easy it is to kill and how little reward it gives. The megaladon is more of a threat on a sloop and gives WAY better loot and I've encountered it probably 20 times by now.

    Anyone got the inside scoop? Am I just THAT unlucky to not get Kraken'd once in Safer Seas out of say 15-20 hours of playtime or is it disabled for whatever reason?

    @jackthedragon1 Agoy matey!

    The Kraken is still enabled on Safer Seas... it will just spawn as much as if you were on a full server.

    @musicmee Man I'm just super unlucky then ain't I? Part of me thinks they should increase it's chance of spawning then cause WOW!

    I think they should increase the chances of the kraken spawning in safer seas by a little like 0.0001 % percent just a little lol because I just bought the game and I ran into the kraken 3 times already in high seas, I understand it would possibly be annoying or repetitive to run into it everytime but the whole point of safer seas is to not have to worry about enemy players and enjoying the whole pve experience and the kraken is well considered pve is it not? soooo why not....just a teeny tiny higher chance lol not much but I don't know how that mechanic works.

    Rare probably thought: on High Seas, you'll have a 1 in 6 chance to encounter the Kraken between other world events (note: only if all crews are sailing on open waters where a kraken can spawn), so I'm guessing on average each 6 world events you'll get krakened on Safer Seas

    That said, she does seem to have a lower spawnrate on High Seas than in the past.

    Don't feel bad, @Jackthedragon1, I sail on Safer Seas with my little sisters pretty regularly; a few times a week for several hours at a time since its introduction six months ago and we still haven't encountered even a single one. I get Kraken'd on a consistent basis in High Seas with my friends; sometimes only a few minutes after leaving on Outpost.

    If she is present in SS, she's almost certainly bugged.
