As someone who has just under 250 hours in this game, one of the things that bothers me a lot is the inventory system this game has. The inability to organize anything in the inventory system gets overwhelming over time. The longer you play the more items get gathered in your inventory and having to cycle through pages worth of weapons or clothing sets just to get to the item you want to equip doesn't make any sense.
I've bought so many items in this game that once equipped to your character don't look anything like you imagined, and now it's just chilling in your inventory for the rest of your character's life. There should be some form of functional system in place with the inventory that you can use to get rid of unwanted items.
A basic dismantling system would work just fine for this scenario. Any item you don't want anymore you could just dismantle it and it gets removed from your inventory. You could have restrictions in place that prevent items from timed events, twitch drops, commendations, or the cash store itself from being dismantled. Any non-commendation items bought from the traders themselves are fair game to have them dismantled.
You could even have a function in place to sell the items back to the traders for half of their paid value, that way you won't feel like your gold has gone to waste for an item you will probably never wear or use. This is more of a sprinkle on top as the issue is not the gold itself but unwanted items that are in the character inventory.
Another basic function that could be implemented into this game is just a hidden system of sorts that gives you the ability to hide an item in your inventory. That way the core mechanic of the inventory system doesn't necessarily change but creates a scenario where the item is out of sight out of mind. That way you can sort out your inventory items to only have the ones visible that you use on a daily for your character. a favorite system will work the same in this scenario where you just favorite the items you want to use.
A great addition to the inventory system would be saved clothing sets. Having the ability to save a character's look as a costume would be great for people who like switching between sets that match well together. If you have a specific jacket that matches well with a certain shirt and boot, you should have some form of system where you could save that character's look to instant equip it instead of having to cycle through items and trying to remember what cosmetic set you were matching that day.
