I put my expensive DLC on the wrong account and Rare actually came through!

  • Strap in, this is a long one.

    Last week I bought the Tabletop game that comes with Lord Guardian sails and accidentally put the DLC on my Xbox store account instead of my Xbox Live one, I assume a desync happened without me noticing. For context, these sails are worth $100+. Anyway, I contacted Microsoft and they said they couldn't do anything, so I tried my luck by filling out a "request" in the "Support" category: https://support.seaofthieves.com/requests?

    Within a few hours (on a Saturday night), a moderator informed me that my request had been forwarded to Rare. To my utter bewilderment, on Monday morning I received a message saying that the DLC had been switched to my account.

    All this to say, I doubt many dev teams care this much about their players, so if ever you need help with something fill out a request!!! :3
