Skull of Siren Song event BUGS

I'm not sure if anyone else had this problem but when i got the Skull of Siren Song i wasnt able to give it to captain Briggsy. i tried for like an hour seeing if i needed to get rid of the skeletons or i needed to get all the way through with her speech but in the end nothing worked. I just canceled the quest because it didnt go anywhere. also on a side note my ship happened to sink while this was all happening and the Skull of Siren Songs Chest was on it and when i came back there were two chests. i even took a screenshot. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199262451999/screenshot/2240039565454868085/
