UNFAIR cannon flairs

    While on the topic of DA sails being nerfed which I very very much agree with, some cannon flairs in the game give an unfair advantage while fighting. The smoke animation will clear slightly quicker which could give a slight advantage to the person using them in certain situations probably. Some of these you have to pay REAL money for. unacceptable.

    Also while on the topic of some possible unfair advantages, some weapon models provide a clearer shot than others and i think that is unfair. Also some clothing items hide the character better than others. My pirate is also the larger model and i can be spotted from further away.

    I like the direction we are going in with the fixes lately but we really need to balance everything else so that everyone is on an even playing field. I know everyone can get all the same items but its not fair that you have to work for it.

    Need to list them so others can "agree" but simply saying some doesnt do anything.

    idk about you, but I know enough of my ship that even the slightest change I know someone is "hiding" doesnt matter what they wear or look like.

    I know everyone can get all the same items but its not fair that you have to work for it.

    Cherry blossom flair and cut throat and beach comber flairs are op and i have sunk because people exploited them against me

    @burnbacon there. as for weapons the pistol for example has the mercenary and obsidian versions that offer iron sights. that has gotten me sunk

    @tbg32346 EVERY FLAIR is a disadvantage over the default one. And there are very few that aren't bought with real money, if any...
    So saying there is an advantage is wrong...just disadvantages, some more, few less

    @schwammlgott This is a sarcastic troll post if you can't tell... OP is basically saying everything is unbalanced and gotten them sunk, so level the entire playing field. Best not to engage.

    I think everything needs to completely flattened out to make sure that all players are on equal grounds. Default ship sets, default cosmetics, default everything. Everything else is just unfair, as the DA sails are.

    NO! These flairs are UNINTENDED, meaning they never even meant to put them in the game but somehow they slipped through. Still enough time to revert in order to balance the game.

    @tbg32346 no offense my brother, but, It seems to me as if you lack one thing: Practice. I have most of the "op" stuff like sails etc. but I rarely use them. Why? Because its not needed. I go with the DA pistol skin all the time for example. Why? Just to show off i guess. And the DA skins are not the "best" = most slim ones. I had to learn how to aim with them, but once its memorized - np mate. Same goes for almost everything you listed imho:

    • Sails? Just learn to sail
    • Cannon skins? just learn the aiming height for your preferred skins
    • weapon skins: just learn how the skin affects your field of view, then practice shooting random targets on your ship while jumping around.

    Maybe some flares do offer advtange over others, i dont know tbh. But it never appeared to me as if someone had an "Unfair" advantage over me. If I get sunk, I usually get sunk because people aim better or play smarter, not because they can maybe fire 11 cannons while i fire 10....
    seems to me you are just salty and looking for a scapegoat to blame, no offense.
