Companion app

    I belive that a companion app would do quite well for sea of thieves but I do not belive it should be top priority rare has other things to work on right now the companion app is just an idea incase rare wants to make one later

    @p0und-seven oh trust I asked for this years ago. I don’t think it’ll ever happen tbf, too much effort and integration sadly. Would have been nice but I guess logging into the forums everyday like it’s the 00’s will have to do ;)

    @tesiccl I have hope rare listens more than most companies and compared to some of the other things they have done it would be small if they get enough people who want it then they might just do it

    @p0und-seven there is one albeit not by game devs. Rare thief has one that is good for maps and the like.

    It's a nice idea but tbh the xbox app doesn't even have features like lfg so I can't see specific games getting that much development into a single app.

    @hiradc just look at games like destiny 2 that are a million times more complex than sea of thieves and they have one

    I would absolutely use it. Even if the app just did everything that the website does, a dedicated app is just easier to use. I want an app where I can change my clothes, see what I've unlocked, and view progression towards commendations. Then I can plan out what I'm going to work on next time I play or reference commendation/renown progress without having to pause the game every time. I think it would be absolutely useful and worth the effort. Like I mentioned, the website already has much of the work done already.
