Every now and then there's a discussion about making a public API available, but I've never heard of one being made available. Now with guilds, I want to ask for one to get guild values. The path exists and the body reponse is perfect, I just want this to be public. It's just some information of a guild such as name, motto, level, xp, distinction and number of members and ships. There's no user info, member info or anything like that, and you need to know the guild id, so it's completely safe.
Sea of Thieves Guilds API
This is a very simple real example of something that can be done with API. Discord bots could give us some infos, sometimes just for fun, but that's a very nice add to a discord server. And this just talking about bots in discord, 'cause the applications to this are immense.
Except for the footer and ship image, all the others names and values came from API. Everything is in PT-BR because it's where I live and play with some my friends.

I was going to ask for something similar, though with opt-in allowances for additional information (username, ships, ledger). But I'd be happy with the bare basics, and a web interface on this site so we could manage the guild when owners/leaders aren't at their computers.
@ondrejbakan Agreed. Could you imagine an app where this info is available, and I can change my pirate's look, ship and equipment for my next voyage?
I've been thinking for a few days that it would be great to have a simple bot in a Guild's Discord that could help auto-name Discord voice channels after the Guild ships that the members are sailing on. (Even cooler if you could get a bit of extra status to include in Discord's chat status like what if any voyage is currently on the ship's Captain's table and/or which emissary flag is currently flying.)
Definitely some information that I think should be limited to only a "Guild's Own Discord" type situation and so there would likely need to some permission flow for a Guild Leader to say "this is the Guild's official Discord and its official bot".
