I'm just wondering, what is the purpose of 1000 guild levels or even 100 when the progress is so slow. We did in 4 days more than I have achieved in my first year maybe 2. And we are level 5. So I hope new pirates will appreciate their 'fundamental' level 3 by 2024 summer..( I will make sure to remind them if they post here that they have at least 97 more to their first distinctionSo I am just trying to figure out the logic behind these changes against players, it's not like we have anything new to do and why everything recent is a grind/chore to a point where it defies logic and is not fun.
I've already been critical of the guild design in other threads so I am not gonna do it here but to the point of new players, fun, and pirate life in general I try to create an example of individuality and independence within gameplay.
I go through moments, days, and even occasionally weeks where I'm trying to figure out how I am going to approach a season or content or even if I can adapt as needed to still enjoy the experience in a way where I remain optimistic and helpful to others while finding ways to enjoy my time.
I haven't really gotten into new content since I adapted to Captaincy. Didn't grind Hg, didn't grind cofs, not grinding guilds, still finding ways to create rewarding scenarios though.
I want to see new players succeed in their goals but more than that I want to see them do their own thing in this game, expressing themselves through piratical style, far beyond just grinding content or unlocking rewards. People can tell their story here in their own way, I wanna see more of that. I'm hoping that all of the content succeeds in season 10 so that improved retention leads to more storytelling through gameplay.
