Biggest Guild Challenge

  • Everyone wants THEIR OWN guild and not many want to join another's guild. Rare, what incentives are provided to folks so that they feel like joining a guild is as good or better than creating a guild?

  • It’s like when captaincy first came out, everyone wanted to be on their own ship… after a couple weeks people realized the ship itself mattered less than the pirate progress and teamwork. So people started sailing together as they had been, and solos kept being solo as they were.

People will realize there is merit to teaming up and will weigh the pros and cons and pick the guild that fits them best. It’ll naturally happen that people see one of their guilds is leveling faster and they want to level that too as it’s almost level 20, or 80, or 100!

The uncertainty, bickering, and pettiness will wear off after a bit and it’ll work out.

  • How about the immensely slow progress on guild xp?
Also I'm joining other people's guilds. But it doesn't matter bc I'm only sailing on mine.

  • I feel like they don't feel like a big thing because they are quite small. Bigger guilds would make them seem more daunting, so solos might avoid them. Also making it easier to join, like a looking for guild, would help.
