There is no way of communicating with your guild members in-game. I really think there should be some kind of guild chat.

I think they mean a chatlog in the Guild Menu... so not in-in-game.... but in-game in the menus?
Anyway, yeah, could have some merit for folks who don't want to use Discord or similar.

Because they're a part of your guild's community, why else? Thats how guilds always worked in every other game.
@burnbacon yea iv played mmos why in guilds before guild chats are nice tho unless there's some sort of guild social hub added there's little reason to creat a system

You could be sailing from one end of the map to the other, in HG queue or stopping by an outpost, there's enough downtime to check in on other guild crews.For example:
GC1: "Hey, guys, what are you up to?"
GC2: "Oh hey! We're getting this guild commendation. HBU?"
GC1: "We're grinding HG. We can help progress that commendation after our next battle tho."
GC2: "Oh you do you but it will help it get done quicker with both crews going for it!"
GC3: "lol we're just fishing so we can stop and try work towards that commendation too."I see the appeal but it's not gonna help much when those other guildies aren't in game. As such, I'd say this is just another reason for why a guild hideout with local text/proximity chat that could accommodate the whole guild should be a no-brainer.

Ingame. Yes. You can. Just like any crew you simply text or use a mic. As long they are on he same guild ship

uhhh I dunno maybe to tell them what you're doing considering people can just browse and join guild ships..? So people don't just waste their time hopping from Guild crew to Guild crew just to find out the person isn't doing anything they wanted specifically? Send out messages to Guild Chat like "hey I just did a FoF anyone wanna hop on cause I have a hungry galleon near me"? Maybe you don't necessarily want to hop on Discord and just chat casually so you don't have to keep tabbing out?
Same reasons Warframe has a Clan chat channel AND an alliance chat channel to speak with people in AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT CLAN that your own clan is allianced with (yes that's the real term they use)
Once again I am left dumbfounded with your disagreeing on every single suggestion, even on something as harmless as more communication on a game like Sea of Thieves...
I think a guild "chat" would be good on the title screen too!
This would be a great way to have like a "Message of the day" sort of thing, if the guild want to push for certain things or what to lvl a certain ship.Plus if your meeting randoms on the sea and invite them via the guild emote, it would be a good way of talking to them as they might not be on your friends list! :D
