Stuttering on the same account, but on different PCs.

  • So, I've been trying to figure out why I Gf's game stutters all the time. The stuttering prevents her from doing certain things in the game, like getting the commendation for completing the circus thing under 25 seconds in the second Monkey Island Tall tale. So I signed onto her account on my PC to do it for her, but when I play the game on her account, I get the stuttering too. It's not her PC that is doing it, it's something with her account, since I can play the game just fine on my account, on my PC. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I've gone through all the settings/graphics and can't figure out why it stutters on her account and not mine.

  • that sounds like it's highly likely to be a setting issue (even though you've messed with them)

what kind of stutter are we talking?

could be anything from the sharpening setting to vsync

maybe try turning off capture (if it's on)

being only on one account is pretty odd

  • To add to it, I have the game on an M.2, and it loads pretty fast.. but when on her account, the game loads a lot slower.

  • @wolfmanbush

Stuttering as in when you're walking around, it will jump forward a couple of times as if its missing some frames (for lack of a better way to explain it). Sometimes even teleporting the character forward like 5-10 feet.

It's just really weird if it's specific to one account because otherwise what you describe here is often windows updates/graphics update needing to be installed or an internet issue or in game rubberbanding (which is happening)

  • Ya. I originally figured it was either her PC (since she doesn't have the best PC) or internet... but when it started happening to me, I was really confused and didn't know what was happening.
