Chest of Fortune

That sound Fof produces when it spawns really excited me, but man I do love some Fotd, glad it's gonna be the focus of the game again. Also won't need to go through fleets and Ashen bosses hoping to get a chance to get a cof.

I prefer how it is currently, it being in one place only drives player interaction and server activity

If it was in both places, both events would be highly contested rather than just one.

I just see removing the CoF from the FoF as an unnecessary negative overall for the game.

Not everyone is an insider. While I won’t reveal what is in the program, insiders know what is coming. I sailed with a crew yesterday who had no idea the Chest of Fortune had moved. Also the Skull of Destiny voyage is disabled. That means it takes longer to start the FOTD.

I love the chest movement. The FOTD was chosen clearly because of Halloween. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like there are any Halloween themed events planned. I also suspect that the 3rd place for the chest will either be the Flameheart ghost fleet or the Skeleton Fleet battle world events. Probably both events will see the chest. It probably will depend on if the Flameheart story progresses. As for the final location! Either the Ashen Lords or the normal Skeleton forts.

It’s possible that the rotation will never end and the CoF may wind back in the FoF after it cycles through all the current world events.

I’m curious if the community would prefer the Chest of Fortune being at both the Fort of the Damned and the Fort of Fortune.

Both or randomly found. Two forts I dont really care on doing anymore.
One spawns up randomly while the other you pretty much have to pay to unlock or grind for it (find all lights and skull)

I don't pvp so a highly contested and sought after item really doesn't interest me...

Honestly, all world events need a loot buff. Their loot was decided at their creation and haven’t changed since. As the gold economy got better the loot stayed the same. Now the original forts the loot is so not worth the hassle. I can solo a sea fort and get the same amount of gold as a skeleton fort for less time and effort.

As far as the FOTD loot, just take the CoF and leave the rest. No one said you had to take everything.

Honestly, the biggest piece of loot I find motivating is a Collector Chest. But like fancy ones like empty ashen ones, brigsy chest, ancient chest.

We need coloured collectors chests!
