What can we do if we get quick swapped?

  • Now that Rare officially stated that they have fixed quick swap, any encounters with people bypassing this should be taken as suspicious behaviour?

Players bypassing it through macros or whatever should be reported to Rare for exploit usage?

I would like to know what to do if I encounter suspicious quick swaping during my time on the game. I think this should be considerated as some kind of exploiting as Rare has clearly stated that they don't want quick swaping in their game.

  • @capt-pilotes run away

Jk, try reporting and see what they say

  • I swear I was killed so much faster today by a player then others. Idk

  • I think it depends on what the work around is. If it's extremely difficult to pull off then I'd be quite confident a number are using a macro. At the same time it's also on Rare to know what this workaround is and remove it just like they've done with the shift cancel method which now doesn't function. If someone is desperate enough to bypass it now, then what else are they willing to do to gain the smallest of advantages in a goofy pirate sandbox game. I'd say report them, at least it acts as a form of bug report to fix the issue.

  • I mean it was only 0.2 seconds faster than normal. Are you sure they are doing it faster?

  • How will you know that the player used a macro? It's almost impossible to prove.

  • It's up to you how you use the report tool.

Personally I find the "sus" thing to be one of the most offputting parts of pvp in this game. If I lose I lose and if I win I win. The environment is random and inconsistent and I'm just gonna move on from it.

I find the game far less unpleasant by abstaining from accusing people of gameplay stuff.

  • The quickswap was like a quarter of a second faster, so it being gone is surprisingly not going to have an effect on the power of double guns. It was just a scapegoat.
