New Athena Quest

  • So basically, it's like an update for the OG stuff.

Instead of combining the OG quests, it combines all the new quest types. Which I guess basically the veil already does but the thing about this one is that Pirate Stepdad won't read the story book to you every time you start it up.

So you start this bad boy up and you get a missing shipment to find. The shipment contains one thing: A magic compass. The compass points to either map pieces like normal vaults or straight to the key and skip the maps bc of the extra stuff. If there are maps each dig with map/key brings on a skeleton captain that can drop basic athena skull or villainous athena.

After you get the key and figure out where to go, the island falls under seige of ghost ships with 1 wave and a boss wave. This guy drops a wraithball.

Next, you find the vault. This vault has ancient chests and athena trinkets in them (instead of/in addition to) the chests you would expect to see based on if you are in the Devil's Roar or not. And instead of the Chest of Tributes you get an appropriate Chest of Legends. Ashen if you were in the Roar.

  • I like this idea, I mean Rare has so many tools they could recycle to create some new voyages.

Also think about all the mechanics in tall tales and past adventures they could use.

Another two suggestions that would fit into the voyage you proposed.

We could fight some skeleton ship that would emerge on some location marked on the map.
Or, we could fight some Ancient Kraken/Megaladon

  • @zig-zag-ltu Yeah, sure. I'd like doing all of those things.

  • What about a new PL quest that is based on escorting an ai Athena’s Fortune ship and protecting it from all threats as it sails to its destination?

Something a bit different than all the rest.

  • @unstoppabledork That'd be neat. Escort stuff can be fun. It would have to be really time consuming or have bad rewards though since it sounds easier.

  • @crowedhunter said in New Athena Quest:

They certainly seem fun, just probably cost a lot ^^
