I think we have a lot of content at this point and Rare should work to fix, update and expand upon the content we already have. Give us more reason to do voyages, more reasons to do hourglass/pvp, more reason to do this and that. We don't really need new content, we need to get rid of current bugs, make servers more stable and make the game overall more enjoyable for the players. Rare adds a lot of stuff, but almost none of them gets expanded upon. Captaincy for example. How cool wouldn't it be to be able to swap ships in the middle of the server instead of having to leave it. Someone joins or leaves and we swap ship. Use the Arena instead of open seas for Hourglass for example. There's just so much to expand upon imo.
No new content!
it's just not realistic
new content brings in new players
new players keep the game alivelong term players are inconsistent in feedback
it's never good enough and the goal posts always changelong term players largely get frustrated over constant issues
like performance/cheating/etc
these always exist no matter what Rare doesAs unfun as it is, going through support for a variety of things is probably the best chance that veteran players have of getting things worked on and improved.

these always exist no matter what Rare doesThe main issue is unrealistic player expectations - NOTHING Rare could ever do, change or fix will be good enough for the "constant complaining" crowd. The issue is not with the game - it's with player perceptions.
I've been a professional software dev for 25+ years: knowing what I know about software, I'm constantly amazed our global banking system hasn't totally collapsed yet.
To anyone who has an inkling of the effort involved: it's quite amazing that Sea of Thieves works as well as it does, given the amount of features & content and the complexity of the physics involved.
Players should be thankful for what's provided instead of complaining about things they misperceive and don't understand.
The devs should absolutely - full-stop - quit catering to people who don't know what they are talking about, and will never be satisfied regardless.

First off some of the things you just asked for are new content.
When it comes to servers, they update that all the time.
They fix bugs, several I have reported have gotten fixed.
There is just no reason not to have new content.
Very big yes! At this current point in time it feels like rare doesnt realize that new content doesnt mean "brand new stuff that isnt in the game", but can also mean adding to and improving what already exists. Though im sure they do realize, and odds are they just had a lot of ideas that could be expanded on in the future, that they just wanted to get out. But it would be nice to have a lot of stuff improved, especially the quality of the gameplay.
It's about money at the end of the day. Cheaper to put in reskinned, old bugged assests called new content and focus on the Emporium then actually continue the storyline and fix bugs that actually matter. That's why they are doing PvE servers when swearing it would never happen. Otherwise if they really wanted to "help" new players people have been calling for PvE servers since alpha stage. So...... why now if not for a dying player base and desperate attempt to keep new players? They need new players to buying into the emporium that don't know any better. Preying on the new folks who don't know about the massive cheater influx and the toxicity of average sweat crews that would make them quit and not spend real money on trinkets. They delete or lock your posts when you start to figure it out and informing others. Will the Emporium be locked on PvE servers too like Athena and Reapers? Not a chance on the ferrymans boat.
