@tesiccl Yep, that was my plan too. Now that you mention levels, I am probably the least stacked player to ever freaquently post the fourums. 20 CoF's, 30 servants, 7 gaurdians, 70 GH, 69 OoS, 46 MA, 51 Reaper, 10 Athena. Tbh, I love the game and wanna be part of the community, but I'm not the skill level I would like to be at. I've watched all the guides, know all the tricks, but I'm kinda bad at hand-to-hand. I've been taking a more agressive stance with my CoF's lately and had the opportunity to play with some great players who taught me a lot. I think when I start my HG grind (I'm only doing it this weekend because of G&G, my plan is to do CoF's first) Then I will "get good" per se.

As of right now I’m 164, gonna break 170 tonight for sure. Mostly loss farming to help others, worked out it’s about 4.5 losses per level. Not too bad considering speed.
@riptide3683 Dude it's not like you have to be some kind of level in anything to be a part of the community, I was a full ashen dragon set 'pirate legend' when I joined here and started posting about frozen region. The only thing that matters is that you enjoy the game and come here to be part of a community and help developers improve the game, even if your ideas don't materialize into updates, it's the thought and passion that counts :)

This sentiment is something I personally find unfortunate. I see it a lot when I bounce around different content channels and around the social areas of the community. I see people trying to justify skill levels, trying to justify pveing rather than pvping for a day, internal rationalizations for stuff that requires no explanation.
It comes from the super focus on pvp and associating skilled pvp with value and status. All of you have worth here, this is an adventure environment.
I kill megs, say howdy to people, and can get tdm'd by just about anyone no matter their skill level. Nothing to compare to, value to the community is by you being here, showing up, participating how you are as a pirate, whatever that may be.

That's just the way the game is heading, I'm afraid. It's clear from recent updates and hints at future ones that the focus for the game is shifting to the PvP end of the spectrum. All the best rewards (including areas of the map) are being locked behind activities largely centered around PvP or PvP-encouraged environments.

I dunno where the game is headed but as long as I'm around nobody gets to get down on themselves over pvp or status or skill without at least a challenge by me.
a lot of this stuff is voluntary conformity, really just people sacrificing their incredible uniqueness to feel like they fit in.
This is pirateland, everyone fits in and has a place. All the extra stuff isn't required or necessary.

I'm simply pointing out where I believe it comes from, especially lately. Folks really want to earn those shiny new rewards and the social pressure that comes from it impacts their sense of self-worth in the PvP environment. It's only reinforced by Rare's shift in focus, in my opinion.
It's just another part of the pressures of modern life, I guess. Maybe it impacts younger folk more? I'm old-ish and I've largely accepted my own deficiencies regarding PvP. But we each find our own strengths, and we all have the capacity to bring something to this game. It doesn't need to be the same path everyone else follows.
But what do I know, I've mostly been fishing lately.

A lot of wonderful individuals in this community all around. Randomly on servers, on the forums, in content creation. Their individuality and unique parts of their personality, creativity, and interests are far brighter than the glow on some curse or cosmetic.
Hopefully as the game continues on more and more see that as well, about themselves and others.

They usually turn off Gold Rush during these events.
