Pirates! Is there any difference on how much reward/value we get when sinking and defeating players that have a high-streak in HG???

That depends, if they are running an emissary and they have a high emissary rank, then you can collect their flag and sell it. ranks 1-2 I find to be insignificant, I'll sell it after I have a 4 streak win rate. But if the flag is rank 4-5, I immediately go to sell it at the nearest outpost. A rank 5 emissary flag is as valuable as another ship sunk, so you're getting double the rep for sinking a rank 5 emissary ship. Otherwise, no, there's no value in specific hourglass streaks except maybe against champion ships or bigger ships? Not to sure on that one since I don't bother much with those alternatives.
