    This game is has a BIG problem. It's fun to do bad things.
    Why fight fair when I can roll up with 3 of my buds, overwhelm, and dumpster someone?
    I'm here telling it from our perspective because I don't care if I get yelled at by neckbeards. Big whoop.

    But I wish you wouldn't listen to that small vocal minority telling you all this game is fine the way it is because it isn't.

    It's not dead yet because people LOVE how you made THIS GAME SPECIAL!!! THEY LOVE THE PIRATE ART, RP, STORY,

    It's your JANKY ASSS GLITCHY LAGGY PVP

    WELL RIGHT NOW I am sitting with a level five flag hourglass thing and MY RADIAL WHEEL IS GONE!
    How can I EAT TO HEAL? I CAN'T BAIL... No NO I am very sure this is a skill issue.
    This is just a small sample of things going wrong that can take hours of your work away from you.

    Galleons have more hands to help. SOLO SLOOPERS? UHHH not so much.
    Let's count all the things YOU have to do if you get rolled up on or if you're fighting a "fair fight"

    1:Holes ofc
    2: FIRE why is this a thing? I'm sorry I know you worked hard very on the sfx but it's agonizing to deal with.
    3: MAST BROKEN
    4: CAPSTAIN BROKEN
    5: WHEEL BROKEN (Mind you this can all happen ALL happen in a matter of seconds.)
    6: BOMBS can HIT you THROUGH THE DECK? WHY?
    7: MAGIC BALLS (lol now you're asleep)
    8: 4 people camping you
    9: LAGGIN to the BOTTOM OF THE SEA AND TAKING FALL DAMAGE
    10: Brand new one here we go get ready for this. Watched my partner sword lunge and GLITCH IN PLACE
    11: WHY DO GUNS HAVE KNOCK BACK? WHY? Just automatically with no 2 bullets to charge up JUST RIGHT OUT THE GATE a knock back like a sword? WHAT? Okay so Knock someone back with an EOR then when they come back plaster them with a Blunderbuss.
    12: I know there's more.

    Once I get my gd curse I've been waiting for SINCE BETA I am NEVER touch PVP AGAIN!
    I don't even know why I should continue playing at all honestly.
    If all you guys care about is making it so everyone is just shoot on sight...
    What's the point? What happened to Merrick? And bringing people together to make new friends?
    Now it's just a bunch of squeakers having fun running others games.
    If I want to play a team fighting game that's sadly more balanced then this I'd play OW.

    You need some nerds to FIX the CORE of PVP!
    because I don't mind PVP

    The game isn't dead yet because its only competition is Atlas which is completely broken because development was abandoned like a year into early access.

    There isn't a single way to have fun. People find their fun in different things.

    I played Rust a lot before playing SoT. I had fun even when playing Solo in my shack while clans of 30+ members where roaming the server and raiding bases. That wasn't fair, but it was fun nonetheless.

    Is the PvP perfect ? No. Is it fun ? At least for me it is. :)

    sometimes you gotta miss something for a while to appreciate the experience even with the imperfections and frustrations

    might just need a break, let things settle for while and then see if this is still a compatible experience for you

    everyone that plays navigates through issues, it's not just pvpers, not just pvers, not just this style or that.

    Just gotta make the best out of the parts of the experience that are enjoyed.

    I get the radial wheel disappearing a bunch of times in HG battles so that is frustrating.
    Aside from the bugs i've also noticed when playing HG on PC it's unforgiving, players have so much skill it's night and day difference when playing on xbox console, so whomever plays on PC only, they are basically playing SOT extreme mode and would not be a pleasant experience if you're not playing every day at all hours, let alone for new players which unfortunately there is no fix for this.

    @eva1977 I actually find pc (for duo sloop) to be easier, it's higher skill ceiling but also floor so on average xbox players seem better with wider variety on pc

    Yeah this.

    You have to remember that xbox-only servers are opt-in, which filters out the really bad players.
