I've been watching a lot of Mandalorian recently and I had the thought "why isn't there a bounty system in Sea of Thieves?" And that got me thinking of how a bounty system can be implemented into the game, and here's how:
In order to make a bounty, you need to know the name of a pirate and a terrible thing they did, like hacking or toxic behavior, and you need gold. You'll need to go to the shipwright shop, where the bounty board is, and you can use it to take bounties or make bounties. For the names, you'll be provided with a list of all the players in the server, and you have to state the reason for the bounty, and you have to personally put gold down for the reward so that way there's no way of getting more money than you put in. More than 1 person can grab the same bounty, and to find your bounty, you have to follow clues such as where they were last seen, which can be updated if someone sees the bounty's ship, what ship type they're on, and what they were recently doing. Bounties can only be claimed if you grab the bounty from the board and if you kill that person, then you get the reward, and the bounty will follow you from server to server until it's claimed. Also, there would be bounty alliances, where people who are looking for the same bounty can use a special alliance flag to alliance and it will work like the regular alliance when it comes to gold. Also, the entire crew of the ship gets the full amount of the reward, but the crew that put up the bounty can't hunt the bounty and get the reward.
Let me know what you guys think cuz I think this will add more variety to the game.
