Clarity of Content and Possible Adjustments Regarding Pirate Alignments

I mean.. The Legendary Seafarers hat was introduced in Season 8 alongside two new milestone classes, when there was originally only 7 NOT counting Captain Alignment. Might just be me but i feel like the Captain alignment not having a legendary title is a given as it has no other rewards, it's basically Pirate only. You can "captain" 50 ships but Rare had the foresight not to put any reward for that because who is going to make 50 different ships? You have a hard limit of 15, let alone 50. Of course there wouldn't be a legendary title.
The hat is achievable through any of the 7 original alignments, and 50 in either Guardians or Servants, hence why it's a Legendary Seafarers hat, to get it, you need to dabble in everything. Sure, maybe they could have communicated it, but the class is just sort of there, it's not a priority that EVERYONE knows that you can't get a legendary title, because progressing the alignment to 50 is arguably redundant. Might have been good to research the classes specifics before dumping 5 million gold into something like this.
I doubt you'll get your gold refunded, nor your classes reset, but hopefully some retribution can come of this for you.

@heyltsmetc I had tried to research it before hand but found nothing on the internet. Not even Reddit had anything relevant so I searched and found nothing confirming nor denying on YouTube videos that were specifically about the hat and how to get it. Every video I watched on the easiest ways to unlock it said they weren't going to cover it because it was insanely hard and expensive. This would imply that it COULD be done at steep price as multiple videos just said, "I haven't done it for myself because it is hard to do and it's expensive and have no advice on how to go about it easily". I even tried asking Twitch partners live on their stream and they were uncertain. If a streamer who is in the Partner Program with Rare doesn't know it is pretty obvious that not many do. You seem to be an exception.

I fully realize you can only hold 15 ships captained concurrently as I have had to delete multiple in in order to get to 50, obviously. I knew that going into this BECAUSE Rare had actually said something at the onset of season 7; that was a well outlined given and not what I am suggesting they change. Why would the Captain alignment be the ONLY one to not have a legendary title? Every other one it was released with had one and so do the two new ones released alongside season 8. Why didn't Rare simply remove the redundancy of the alignment and give it a reason for existing by simply having the legendary title like every other one? Yeah, It's hard to get to 50 in that faction and many view it as crazy, I already pointed that out in the original post. Not many would try it, but I did. Where are you looking to see the legendary titles for your pirate? How is it a "given" that the Captain's alignment doesn't have one? as far as I can tell the only titles that can be viewed prior to earning them are the Ship titles in the shipwright menus.

You AND your ship can unlock corresponding titles in each and every other pirate alignment (i.e. you can both bear the Feared, Ill-fated, etc. titles) so, it was pretty clear to me that the ship obviously couldn't get a "Captain" title as it is not a person (although the ship can get a legendary "Emissary" title despite the fact that the title is only truly fitting for a person) and it isn't listed under the ship milestones menu. What was not and IS not apparently clear is why Rare couldn't simply have added a title that would be unique to the progression of the pirate. Why not have a "The Legendary Captain" title for reaching level 50 in the Captain alignment? As far as I can see, there is no good reason. The hat doesn't unlock with ship titles, it unlocks with pirate titles, so why bind it's unlocking to titles that can only be attained by BOTH ship and Captain?

It makes no sense to me and while I am fairly certain that my gold is gone for good, I haven't given up hope on making my spent time, gold and effort count for something. All Rare would have to do is add a legendary title exclusive to the pirate milestone alignments that would assist in unlocking the hat. That's not hard to do and it is all I ask. If people think that is a bad idea because of how much time it takes and it would be too hard to get the title, I would remind them that I have done it and that Rare has already implemented such difficult things in the game like, reaching level 1000 in Guardians of Fortune for instance. No cakewalk, and I now have that in my crosshairs for my target achivement for the time being.

I just think it is stupid to have there be

A.) No limits on how far you can progress an alignment with milestones, ship or pirate; cap it off like the trading companies so you don't waste resources because the numbers keep climbing like there may actually be something to earn ahead of where you are.
and
B.)No legendary title for ANY given alignment; I would react similarly if this arbitrary exception applied to the other alignments... every alignment that is there should have one regardless of how tough or difficult it may be.

@tigoriousseptim I get it's not stated anywhere, and even the partners don't know, but the Partners are still just players, they didn't code the game themselves. Tutorials wouldn't know because buying 50 captained ships is not something people will do. You did it, yes, but you did it having researched and not had any confirmation it would work, even after videos stated it would be time consuming and expensive. You entered this fray knowing that, but not knowing if the Alignment would reward you with the hat. I get why you assume it would, but it's like i said, you can't own more than 15 ships, why would Rare do anything to incentivise buying and deleting 50 ships, like titles or contributions to other things?

I just see it as yes, you did it, and didn't get the desired outcome, but it's not up to Rare to cater to you for it. A legendary title of "The Legendary Captain" sounds awesome, but maybe it is just me, it makes sense that there is no such thing since the game doesn't naturally let you build up to 50 ships. You HAVE to delete ships to get there. It's counterintuitive gameplay.
The Legendary Seafarer hat came out with Season 8, two new milestone classes that contribute to it. The hat was not around until there were more than the original 8, because it was only 7 of them that contribute. I get you're frustrated, but surely you see that if anything, you charted a voyage you weren't sure the result of. You got a result you didn't want, that's not anyone's fault but yours, and i mean that in a genuinely non-inflammatory way.
You now know, you can share that knowledge and take pride that you probably are one of the only people to get Level 50 in Captain. Now, you know you can complete ANY of the other alignments, and get the hat.

Tbf this one is kinda on you, as funny as it is. If there is one thing I appreciate this game does, is not spell out the absolute obvious, and lets players make stupid mistakes so they learn.
