Devil's Roar World Event

  • For having one of the best looking skeleton fort in the game it's sad that there are no world events that take place here, not even a regular fort event. I think adding an exclusive event for the Molten Sands Fortress, I know it would probably be a bit difficult to add a whole new event in the game (especially after adding in the Fort of Fortuune) butchered is a lot of content that could be reused here, Ashen lords, The ashen mini bosses, and ashen loot! But there is a chance to add new content to this concept, like a new skeleton type that fits in the devil war, a new chest or ashen version of the CoF, and other stuff to make this Event a whole more fun. Players seem to avoid the Devils Roar let's give them reason to come!

  • There are some auto correct mistakes in here I'm sorry 😞

  • @darthdaver81 so the Skeleton Felt event used to pop in the DR as did the Skeleton Fort the problem is no one would do them and they’d be up for ever before finally changing to another world event …..tho I agree I wish there was more reason to sail the DR I wish we could spawn in there too it feels cut off from the rest of the Sea of Thieves and that needs to change more quests that lead there and new events that spawn their yes it’s a risk but a fun one

  • @otherfanboy They just added a bunch of captains missions in DR.

  • @otherfanboy Solution - Ashen Chest of Fortune - Ashen Chest of Legends.

  • Molten Sands still happens on rare occasion, but the roar does need a lot of love.

  • @scheneighnay I think it would be great, if the Roar kept its value, but there would be no Volcano activity or very little and when that activity picks up, the loot would be worth even more.

Obviously its a great place for solo sloopers, but most of the time the place feels rather abandoned compared to W side of the map. Imo the current rewards do not justify the resources that area takes and how useless it is, I wish some tweaks were made to expand the meta map.

  • Skeleton Fort events do spawn on Molten Sands, they are just rare because forts only spawn when there is someone in the region and most players avoid the Roar.

I completed a skeleton fort on Molten Sands just 2 days ago. Not gonna do one again anytime soon though... As a solo player it is extremely tedious to get the loot after completing the fort. After every single piece of loot you grab out of the vault and put in a harpoon position the volcano already erupts again... Just takes way to long to unload the treasure. I ended up just taking half the loot and it took me almost a full hour to grab that.

That is probably also why nobody does it when it pops up.

  • @super87ghost Another observation. Devils Roar would make sense if it was added as that famous patch that saved sea of thieves, of which they talked about in the documentary.

So when loot and gold was scarce (no emissaries) getting double gold, perhaps would have been worth the trouble. Atm calling Devils Roar a chore would be harsh to the word chore.

Don't get me wrong tho, few hundred hours ago, pre veil quests etc, Devils Roar was my home to play solo. But it was rather miserable to deal with with the environment, I did not care at all for the bonus loot value, I just liked the place, because I could experience Sea of Thieves while playing solo, as otherwise I would be constantly attacked by other pirates.

Just imagine if the Volcanoes became some kind of an outcome for finishing world event there, or some kind of mechanic that has a reason for, it could be even more dangerous just not as often, a map would get a real expansion. At the moment if you are not playing solo, it does not make much sense playing there imo.

  • We need a FLEET event in the roar!!!

I don't think the volcanos are the problem so much as the distance from the vault to a spot you can harpoon.
It's about as far of a run as fotd so even with a galley crew it takes ages

  • @lj-marst0n we had one, people ignored it, then they added sea forts and the fleet was given a single permanent location instead of how it originally was where it moved around like skeleton forts.
