Hello dear rare team, hello dear reader.
So at first I have nestle 600h in sot (sea of thieves) and I Play this game for over 2 years now.
So I guess we all are aware of the increasing rate of hackers/ cheaters in hourglass as well as in the normal lobbys.
After I watched over 6 videos of people using cheats or as they call it exploits I came to the conclusion that sot needs an anticheat.
I wrapped my head around it and thought what could be useful what could be useless and I came to the conclusion that the current report a player system is not bad but not useful either. If u get matched with a cheater that uses the fly hack to tp a keg on ur ship u can not see their Name. So report a player is a function that shows every players name that are currently in the lobby. So my first idea is that if u get matched in hg (hourglass) u only can report the player that u matched with and not the whole lobby.
My second thought is about the anticheat or an future anticheat idea. In many games its common to use an live cheat tracker, thats means as soon as a aimbot/ fly hack/ fast ladder/ invincibility hack is detected the player gets automatically banned.
Here comes the second problem the alt accounts or second accounts. As soon as a player gets banned they can easily create a new account and continue their hacking/cheating. My idea is that those guys at first get permanently banned, second get a ip or hardware ban. Third this may be hard to accomplish but I am not sure if it’s possible. But get a microsoft or xbox live ban with their account.
Those were my ideas as same as a list of the problem we currently have in sot.
