A friend and I were at ruby's fall anchored with 0 holes and standing on our ship. Randomly our ship disappeared. No holes or anything caused it to sink. No animation played or anything. Rare, please fix.
Random sinking
gotta pull your anchor and sails up and not crash into islands as parking (if any of these apply)
in the roar the vibrations might have moved your boat into a "stuck" spot which is may be why it despawned
Just don't touch land/something in the environment other than sea when parking and you should be alright. The game despawns "stuck" boats.

ok, now seriously, maybe in the action of anchoring, because you came to fast, your ship where to close to the island, and with the earthquake that moves the land, it caused an hole. or a volcano shoot. or a tucker, or a passing ship.
or you have bugged the ship, if you park really bad, even if you repair the damage, if the ship cannot reach back the water, it despawns like a sink.

Lol I'm pretty sure I've despawned a boat in every possible location at reaper's hideout over the years
@wolfmanbush really? hahah. have you ever parked the ship inside the little sea area blocked by the docks on the old golden sands? once i've tried to reach it at max speed, the ship goes on the dock and slide inside the area, the ship was there, blocked. sadly i have not the screenshot anymore. but was epic
