Hello, my friends and I would like to play the old version of sea of thieves 2020. Will you have any files in the public domain to run a local server of the previous version? We would be very grateful.

As previously mentioned, it isn't something they do...
However, I kind of do like the idea of this... Maybe if it was locally hosted as you said, but deleted any progress made during that session afterwards? This could open the opportunity for people to explore the previous versions of the game and things they missed out on like adventures or playtest how things used to work like the sword, but completely remove any reason why people would play it "legitimately" like a PvE server alternative or something. If you can't keep your progress (as it'd be kept server-side hosted by Microsoft, like it is now), there would be no incentive to play local host versions beyond sightseeing, testing old mechanics, or playing old events. Maybe even just turn off gold earning entirely like Custom Servers.
With a bit of ironing out, there's some potential here...
@bezobraz1eeee There really is no such thing as the "old version" even the 2020 one was the original game with a different name.
