Obsidian Eye of reach pack not working

    I claimed the Gamepass perk for the Obsidian Eye of Reach Pack and activated it on my account a few days ago and I have not received it in-game yet. I've asked some friends and they have the same problem. Is this happening for anyone else?

    Are you sure you were logged in as the Microsoft account that is your sea of thieves account as well? You will have received an email to the account confirming you redeemed the code. So check your emails and see which it went to.

    @yxrky Yeah, it requires a login on the MS/Xbox version for it to be recognised.

    xCloud login works too.

    @triheadedmonkey I have the same thing going on, all I need to do is launch the game through cloud gaming and it will count as an xbox log in? I do not have a xbox controller so i can't get any further than launching the game.

    @diamondz1025 if you have a phone or tablet you can use cloud gaming on the app without a controller for SoT.

    @DiaMonDz1025 I don’t know, @yxrky might be able to help. I feel like you probably need to set sail and not just launch it, but only someone who has tried can confirm. I’m an Xbox/MS/ultimate user, so I can’t test it myself.

    @diamondz1025 To use cloud gaming you need a controller connected, and yes you will need to either use cloud gaming or the Xbox store version of sot to get the obsidian eye of reach.

    I bought the game on Steam and I have my steam account connected to xbox, I redeemed the pack but I didn't receive anything in game.. idk what to do

    If you are on Steam, unfortunately you will have to download the game via XboxApp on PC or Xbox Console, log in, launch the game and load into the server for the cosmetics to apply. If you have Xbox Gamepass app on your Phone, or you have a controller that you can connect to the PC, you can always use Xbox XCloud to launch the game and have it applied that way.

    • Download on Xbox Console

    • Download on PC via Xbox App

    • Gamepass XCloud (PC) -- Controller Required

    • Gamepass XCloud (Mobile) -- Controller Not Required

    I play on steam and when I redeemed it didn't intially appear, so I found this thread and downloaded the xbox app version and launched that but it still wasn't there in my inventory. Not sure what to do now, code says its already redeemed and it said the right email.

    Playing Sot on steam and redeeming the code on xbox would not work, you will need to download the game pass version of sot, load into a game and then you should be good to go.

    To that point you can delete the xbox game pass of the game, JUST MAKE SURE YOUR STEAM IS LINKED TO YOUR XBOX.

    I’m having the same problem.. to be honest this is not good enough from rare… if I’m playing on steam and my accounts are linked I can’t see a problem as to why it shouldn’t just cross over . I can’t launch through the cloud because I don’t use a Xbox controller.. so I’m literally just stuck, there must be a solution for this from rares side

    It is included as part of a promotion for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

    If you have Xbox Game Pass Ulitmate, then you have the means to redeem the Perks successfully, regardless of the platform you choose to play on.

    • Download on Xbox Console
    • Download on PC via Xbox App
    • Gamepass XCloud (PC) -- Controller Required
    • Gamepass XCloud (Mobile) -- Controller Not Required

    There is also the option to play via browser (have personally used Chrome but assume all modern browsers work)

    Once you have logged in fully (moving around in the Tavern is usually a good indicator), then the items will be added to the appropriate chests and will be available when you log in on any other platform too.
