Fish up creatures by using raw meat.

  • An issue that I see with Sea of Thieves is that Megalodons and Krakens will spawn very rarely in the game. The problem arises because these beasts will only spawn when there is no active world event on the server which in my experience is almost never. My solution is to create a new part of fishing where you can put raw pork, chicken, snake, and maybe shark on the end of a fishing rod like how bait is used to fish up a different pool of creatures. This could have a new enemy pool that will fish up monsters like sirens, sharks, and ocean crawlers and at sea will somewhat rarely summon large beasts like the Kraken or Megalodon. This could be implemented by using a black fog/spot without a name instead of the standard fish before surprising you with whatever creature appears to face you. This idea will also help give some love to the Hunters Call that it desperately needs right now as it has been the least developed trading company in the game for a while now. This will help this trading company become more prevalent and a more popular part of the game.

  • Using meat to spawn ocean crawlers sounds a bit annoying seeing as they seem to spawn at the most inconvenient times and aren't guaranteed to drop siren gems, but I do like the idea of increasing the spawn rates of sea monsters. Maybe using monster meat would attract more of them.

This is only true for Krakens.

As far as bait goes, no, sorry, these are supposed to be rare, not something you farm.

  • @foambreaker I think of this as less of a new way to farm bosses but another way of encountering them, I would still expect these to be extremely rare and most of the time you would be fighting a slew of ocean crawlers and sirens. Just with my experience, I've found Megs and Krakens to be more of an annoyance when I'm not doing anything hunters call related, and when I am actively searching for any they are nowhere to be seen.
