I'm curious about an experience I had the other night. So I came up to a world event and there had been a reaper boat there so I just asked if I could help and they were cool with me joining. So we got the event finished and killed the ashen lord and were loading the loot then all of a sudden all you could hear from someone elses voice chat "[mod edit] just solo'd you" over and over again in a bot voice and even with 3v1 they kept killing us all over and over with one shot. We'd shoot point blank with the shotgun and it would miss somehow. At one point I was on my boat and they shot me with the shotgun style gun from the island which was a decent distance away and it killed me in one shot still. Is hacking something that happens ins this game? It's the first time I've experienced anything like that but I also generally avoid world events

Cheating? maybe
violating ToS? yeah, a report with some evidence likely won't go well for them if you decide to go that route, even without evidence you can still report it if you want to. Just be clear and detailed and at the very least it might help them look into it/compare it to other reports/etc.
It's not that common in random adventure unless you're in a really low activity region. Hg that stuff is a bit more common because of how low the participation is so you could run into it quite a bit more than you typically would in random adventure.
If it becomes a regular thing just look into recording some gameplay for evidence in reports.
Capture on xbox and pc
on pc I recommend nvidia recording for gaming (if it's an option for you) because it just runs way better, works way better, and has better options than gamebar capture on pc.
