Xbox Series X - Voice Chat Capture on Clips

    So I'm not sure if this is an actual problem or a limitation or what...but when I do clip capturing, it'll pick up my crewmates voice chat and other crews' voice chat, but it won't pick up my own voice chat. Is there some setting that I have messed up or...? This is all using in-game comms not in a party or discord or anything.

    Any ideas?

    @sweetsandman this probably has something to do with xbox/gamebar settings.

    It wont capture your voice from the game itself because your voice is not outputted to your client, maybe some sort of input settings for the recording side of things in the gamebar/xbox settings

    My gamebar capture never captured my voice and now that I use nvidia recording it doesn't either (in game)

    and I'm on pc so it's not just an xbox thing

    There is a setting in the gamebar that will record or omit your own microphone. Maybe the same thing exists on XBox?

    Since u put Xbox series x in title I'm assuming ur on Xbox

    The only way Xbox picks up voice chat is in game chat but it won't record your audio

    @ajm123 That's so bizarre. Such a weird limitation.

    Welp, thanks everyone it sounds like there's nothing I can do to address this. I'll tinker around in the Xbox settings and see if there's something I can manipulate, but there wasn't the last time I checked.

    FWIW, I checked every setting I could find including privacy settings and nothing strikes me as a solution to this.

    Digging deeper on the interwebs, it seems like this is a broad Xbox problem and not specific to SOT at all.

    Oh well.

    It's a setting from what I've noticed, just I didn't have it enabled until this very moment so I don't know if it works in SoT or not.

    But as you probably know, xbox captures and sometimes game bar captures have serious audio desync issues yet, so expect that.
