People just leave after they look around and see my captain's book. I get that as they are checking for experience but why do they just leave right after? Some leave right after they spawn too.
Why do people simply just leave after they join the session?
@uidkwastaken990 multitude of reasons:
- people looking for specific world events
- people looking for reapers on the map to attack
- people looking for no reapers on the map to feel safer
- people not liking to spawn on specific outposts
- people choosing a brig only for that one friend that is always late to join and now they need a galleon
-people choosing a galleon only for that one friend to suddenly have to leave and now they need a brig - people accidentally not selecting the wrong shipsize
- people accidentally not picking (on of) their captained ship
@super87ghost ah on re-reading i think you might be right, in that case another multitude of reasons, but i havent played open crew in a while (probably never have since closed crews where introduced on may 15th 2018)
I can only speak for myself. The only time I open crew is when I'm killing time waiting for my main crew to get on. Selfishly, I don't want to waste time stocking up, voting on a mission or emissary, etc. I usually just hop open crews looking for a quick fight, or some type of action. Maybe that's not fair to others whose main activity is open crew. Sometimes I feel bad when a player says "ahoy" or does a friendly emote. I'm always worried they are taking it personally.
On the rare occasion I actually try to join an open crew I'm usually looking to get straight into action. I like to find someone that is being chased by another ship and try to help them out. I can't stand doing voyages and just like to look for any chance to test myself against other crews while maybe helping a newer player.
