aw3423dwf HDR SETTINGS PLEASE

  • I have read countless posts about how sea of thieves has one of the best HDR experinces. I see some scenes are like that, but for the life of me I cannot get the settings right.

Can someone with the same monitor post settings please.

    HDR calibration
    HDR brightness
    HDR contrast
    Is auto HDR on?
What is your monitors HDR setting?

    Thanks,

Don't know about those "countless posts" because it really doesn't and I've discussed at length the issues with the game's HDR implementation here. It appears to be using an auto HDR solution with little to no actual manual calibration or quality control.

  • just google best games with HDR. usually sea of thieves is at the top.

I can say day time looks amazing but night time is very hard to calibrate. I will use the auto HDR feature in windows for this one as I do most others

Because it can look stunning under certain circumstances - sunsets and sunrises in the Ancient Isles or Shores of Plenty, as examples. But, overall, it's terrible if you want to actually play the game with HDR on...

As I said in a reply on the thread I made, it's very hard to calibrate for nighttime because the black levels are crushed. With proper HDR, you can actually see detail in the dark and light areas because that's the whole point.

I got my calibration somewhat figured out- game isn't way too dark and washed out anymore, and looks fantastic.
But the problem is sun glare is extreme, which makes it harder to make out islands and ships in the distance if the sun is in the wrong position.

But I only have that set when I'm playing solo on Xbox. I don't use my PC's HDR on any game because HDR 400 is just bad.
