Back 2 years ago, 2021, I was very adamant about pvp. It was unparalleled experience with the style of combat and its demands.
I left because of the one shot errors.
Returned a few weeks ago for the event and the experience. It wasn’t long before I encounter distasteful and confusing mechanics. I’ve been surfing post about one shot situations. I don’t understand how the eye of reach, or flit lock pistol, is able to one shot a player at FULL HP??
Something new to the horrors, was the player was shooting me through my deck on respawn, and the crew was battling the solo player and again, he was one-tapping ALL THREE of us.
From my understanding of what the player’s HP is, and the damage of the weapons, it should be impossible for this to happen and when it would, it should be very rare of a situation-ship.
I would LOVE an explanation on how players with MAX HP were being shot through cabin walls and from odd angles. Another issue was this player would appear invisible and then move while firing simultaneously causing his character to re-appear. I’m not sure what emote could do this.
I’m not looking for the based answers such as “players weren’t full health” or “lag was causing latency visuals.” Because neither were possible answers for our scenario. I have clips and filed a formal complaint report about what appeared to be a bug.
But if anyone has been - nonstop - playing, who might know what mechanics are at play here so I can simply educate myself to defend against what ever play style the solo was using. Because I don’t understand how he was able to live through TWO simultaneous head shots from two players both using the sniper rifle. The player was positioned on a harpoon after we docked and scuttled for a faster transport since we were getting off. I solo camped until the ship returned, and on of us were able to kill upon SUCCESSFULLY landing head shots or explosives. I would appreciate serious responses only. I can also provide clips for further analysis.
