Stargazer Voyage

  • Ahoy mates. The tides are turning, the seas are changing, the new season is upon us. Exactly two days before the season starts, exactly two days before the seas become more lively than ever. With new features and updates coming on our seas, also coming new captain voyages, which available only for Fearless Captains, who ready to embark on dangerous Quests.
    And today I have come up with idea about such quest/voyage, "Stargazer Voyage".
    "Stargazer Voyage" is different from the voyages you have ever embarked upon mates. When you vote upon this voyage you will be given an invintation letter from Sudds. He will need to tell you something, something important...
    For who's who don't know who is Sudds, Sudds is an astronomer and ex-crewmate of Captain Briggsy, he serves as clerk at The North Star Seapost.
    After arriving at Seapost and interacting with Sudds (cutscene in which he shortly explain details and importance of such voyage), you will be given Sudds notebook (journal) and Ancien Spyglass.
    After reading the notes (journal) you will need to look through the spyglass and look up into the heavens to find the star constellations. At the beginning you will need to find 3 constellations.
    Your first 2 constellation will lead you to different islands on which ye will need to dig up Coral Messages in a Bottle.
    WARNING:They won't lead you to the Sine Shrines or Threasuries, they will containing notes. Each will hold a peace of story and next constellation which will lead you to next island.
    After discovering each Coral Message in a Bottle and Coral Treasure Chest the Ocean Crawlers or Coral Skeletons will spawn to defend them.
    On your third constellation you will discover a Coral Treasure Chest. Inside it will be Notes, The Ancient Relic ( Coral Totem Key) and Forbidden Key.
    After recieveing that you have two options, you can go to Sudds to ask him about the notes or to Umbra to ask her about a relic.
    For who's who don't know who is Umbra, Umbra is a Chronicler of Legends, who is widely known for chronicling tales of greatness, and using those tales as inspiration for the tattoos she sells. Also, she is a shopkeeper found on Lagoon of Whispers.

    • If you decided to ask Umbra first, then you need to sail to Lagoon of Whispers. There you will need to interact with her (cutscene in which she talks about the relic you found, how amaizing and important it is, and that is a key which will lead to one of the Vaults). After that she will handle it back to you with a journal, in which you will find information about a Vault you need to go to, in a riddle form.
      The Vault will work differently from the vaults we used to open. Instead of having a timer set during which you will need to garb and take out loot. You will need to light up the table, after which doors will close, and solve the riddle, before the room fill with water and you die from drowning. If you are lucky ones, mates, then you will get all this loot to yeself.

    • If you decided to go to Sudds first, then you need to sail back to The North Star Seapost. There you will need to interact with him (cutscene in which he talks about how great it is, that it is more clear now and mystery is easier to solve, then gives you back the notebook (journal) with more notes and Merchant Alliance Eyepatch attached to it). You will need to look through all notes with eyepatch to find all clues, especially last one. After doing that you will need look at constellations again and find the island on which you will need to dig up the Coral Treasury Chest. Inside that chest will be only Coral Map Bundle. Which will lead you toward the 1 - 3 islands on which will be buried from 5 - 10 (Depends on island, can even be 10 - 20) buried treasure.

      List of treasure in the Vault:

    • Generous Piles of Ancient Gold ( 75 - 1,200 gold, depending on the size of pile);

    • Coral Chests (Coral Treasure Chests, Coral Castaways Chests, Coral Seafer's Chests, Coral Captain's Chests);

    • Coral artifacts (Mysterious Coral Vessels, Silvered Coral Cups, Golden Coral Reliquarys, Pequrial Coral Relics);

    • Breaths of The Sea (Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby);

    • Coral Chest of Ancient Tribute ( you need to solve the puzzle with 3 Vault Medallions);

    • Forbidden Coral Chest.

      List of Threasure you will find with map bundle:

    • Shipwrecked Chests (Shipwrecked Castaway Chests, Shipwrecked Seafarer's Chests, Shipwrecked Maradeur's Chests, Shipwrecked Captain's Chests);

    • Coral Chests (Coral Treasure Chests, Coral Castaways Chests, Coral Seafer's Chests, Coral Captain's Chests);

    • Breath's of Sea ( Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby);

    • 2 Forbidden Keys.

      To finish voyage you will need to (pick up the notes and) return back the journals to Umbra and Sudds. For returning each of journals you will recieve from 5,000 to 10,000 gold ( Only if you have all notes).

    P.S. If you manage to collect Forbidden Coral Chest and 3 Forbidded Keys, then after you open it, you will recieve 2 more Breaths of the Sea and notes for Sudds and Umbra.

    P.P.S. I really like the Ancient Spyglass. It is my favourite spyglass. This spyglass catched my eye, when I where doing the Stars of a Thief Tall Tale. I really liked that I can look in the sky with that spyglass and see star constellations, I can't describe it in words how amaizing it was. When I found out that I can get it after completing such Tall Tale, I completed it as soon as possible. However, I was upset that my favourite spyglass didn't worked as it worked during Tall Tale. I still use it because I really like it, but I really miss that feature. Therefore, if it is possible, I would like to ask you to add the feature to this spyglass, that if you look at the night sky with it you will see a star constellations.

    That's it. If you have any comments, concerns, changes you want to add or remove, then leave your comment below. Otherwise, I wish you to have a nice day or night and I will see you on the seas.

    With Best Regards,

    Selgewick The Seaman
    Chronicler of Legend

  • Love it

    I think it would be quite popular as so much feedback I have read and heard expressed an appreciation for Sudds, his tall tale, and the constellations in game

    and stargazer titles are awesome

  • I think it needs some tweaking but the general idea is sound.

  • One thing I would tweak is that you don’t need to go to north star every time, but instead they could reuse the sudds locations that already exist with the LOTV voyage. That way you don’t have to travel across map every time you want to talk with him.

    I’d tweak a few other things as well, but I like the idea of a treasure hunt of sorts that involves the stars and other NPCs that are underutilized

  • @abjectarity Good idea, it will make this voyage more versatile. Thank you.

  • @personalc0ffee Interesting, can you tell me more about your changes?

  • @wolfmanbush Thank you for your reply. I am glad you liked this topic.

  • @personalc0ffee Thank you.
